Management Team
Stephen Wray,
President and CEO
Steve oversees worldwide business operations for Cadient Group, including strategic and financial direction, corporate and product development, as well as investor and industry relations. Steve joined Cadient Group in October 2004. Prior to joining Cadient, Steve was North American Regional President and Chief Executive Officer, US for Ogilvy Healthworld, a global healthcare communications provider, and part of the WPP network of agencies. Steve's agency experience covers professional and consumer marketing, strategic brand development, professional and patient education, and relationship marketing on a global scale. Steve also brings to Cadient Group a unique client-side perspective, having served as Vice President of Marketing Communications for Wyeth. His client-side management roles have also included sales, sales training, corporate development, franchise and brand development, customer alliances, and corporate communications. With over 25 years of experience in healthcare communications, Steve's strategic expertise spans a wide range of therapeutic areas and customer segments within the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sectors.
Steve is also the founder and chairman emeritus of the AWARE Foundation, a Philadelphia-based not-for-profit organization focused upon educating adolescents on wellness behaviors, as well as psycho-social and reproductive development. Steve has been published on a number of topics within healthcare industry media, and routinely serves as a speaker on several industry panels and forums. A native Californian with degrees in marketing and advertising from Fresno State University, Steve and his family reside in the Philadelphia region.
Bob Holloway,
Vice President, Marketing Strategy
Bob directs Cadient's continually evolving, precision-driven strategies, programs, and partnerships that serve clients in their efforts to build great pharmaceutical brands. At Cadient, Bob has led interactive strategy development and implementation for brands in a number of therapeutic areas including migraine treatment, schizophrenia, contraception, treatment of chronic heartburn, breast cancer treatment, osteoporosis, overactive bladder, and hemophilia. With nearly 20 years of marketing and advertising experience in healthcare businesses, he has worked on a wide range of Rx and OTC drugs targeting both healthcare professionals and consumers, including professional and consumer education experience in clinical settings.
Bob holds a degree in chemical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. After earning his MBA, Bob joined Richardson-Vicks/Procter & Gamble in brand management. Over a seven-year period, he worked on a number of brands, and became an Associate Marketing Manager. Among other accomplishments, Bob was responsible for returning Fasteeth' to growth and increased profitability after a five-year period of decline in sales and profit margins.
In 1990, Bob joined Sweeney & Partners (now the Bozell Healthcare Group) as Vice President/Account Group Supervisor. In this capacity, Bob provided marketing strategy and account management on nearly every business handled by Sweeney & Partners. Bob was instrumental in the successful launch of Periostat', the first pharmaceutical for periodontal disease; the DTC effort on Pravachol'; the introduction of Boost' to healthcare professionals and in returning Rid' to the #1 pediculicide after the switch of a superior Rx product.
Will Reese,
Chief Innovation Officer
Will leads Cadient's innovation team to identify strategic opportunities within the healthcare space to drive deeper relationships with professionals, consumers, and payers. Will carries more than 10 years of healthcare industry experience, providing marketing strategy, program management, information architecture, and technical consulting for major pharmaceutical clients that include Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson. He has developed award-winning campaigns for numerous category-leading brands and has extensive experience in product launch and professional marketing, including several women's healthcare brands.
Prior to joining Cadient, Will developed interactive solutions for Lippincott Williams and Wilkins electronic medical publishing group. Will managed both the project development and quality assurance of interactive CME programs, online journals, and hospital education intranets.
Will holds a Bachelor's degree in biology with a dual minor in economics and chemistry from the State University of New York at Cortland.
Heather Torak,
Chief Operations Officer
Heather ensures the quality and delivery of Cadient's work and services to clients. This includes oversight of the creative, application development, quality assurance, and project management teams. She works with these collective departments to maximize operational effectiveness, while taking care that the work is delivered on strategy, on time, and on budget. Heather has more than 10 years of project management experience delivering online, interactive, traditional media and video programs and was instrumental in designing Cadient's highly regarded development process. Heather holds a Bachelor's degree in telecommunications from Kutztown University.
Barb Dowling,
Senior Vice President, Customer Engagements
Barb Dowling serves as the Senior Vice President of Customer Engagements for Cadient Group. In this role, Ms. Dowling oversees all customer engagements, ensuring industry-leading performance in delivering the best in digital strategy, design, optimization, and customer research, as well as the enhancement of the overall customer experience. With 20 years experience in the healthcare vertical on both the client and agency side, Ms. Dowling specializes in helping customers maximize the digital channel to address business critical issues.
Prior to joining Cadient Group in 2008, Ms. Dowling served as Senior Vice President of Strategy, Sales and Service at Lathian Systems, Inc., a leading eDetailing provider, where she led the company’s client services, strategic planning, and business development operations. She also spent more than a decade at DigitasHealth (previously Medical Broadcasting Company) where, as Senior Vice President and Executive Vice President, she had responsibility for multi-disciplinary account teams. Ms. Dowling also held many marketing positions at Merck & Co. Inc., where she first began her career in the pharmaceutical industry.
Ms. Dowling earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she trained as a clinical nurse.
Steve Kipp,
Vice President, Human Resources
Steve leads Cadient’s Human Resources programs and strategy. Steve’s approach to HR has enabled Cadient to assume a leading position in our industry regarding benefits, career growth and development, and supporting a positive company culture.
Steve is an experienced Human Resources professional, with nearly 20 years in the field. He started his career in finance with IBM and then changed his career focus to Human Resources while still with IBM. Steve has held HR management and leadership roles with a number of leading-edge companies in the greater Philadelphia area, including Senior HR Business Partner for First Consulting Group’s Life Sciences business unit in Wayne, PA, and U.S. Director of HR for Teleglobe America in Princeton, NJ.
Steve holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from Penn State University.
Mark Bogas,
Vice President, Finance
As the Vice President of Finance for Cadient Group, Mark is responsible for supporting the strategic direction of the company and tactically driving the strategic shifts in the business model. In addition, he assures that the finance function of the organization operates in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board.
Mark was instrumental in establishing Cadient Group’s financial infrastructure to position and support the company for rapid growth in all dimensions. This includes managing overall business planning and establishing and maintaining the company’s financial policies and procedures by providing “hands-on” operations and administrative functions in the areas of accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, treasury, tax, insurance, legal, and investor/Board relations.
Mark has over twenty years of cumulative financial management and accounting experience, beginning with eight years in the banking industry followed by nine years in the accounting and finance recruiting industry, which culminated in the initial public offering of Acsys, Inc.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University in accounting.
